Belgian band De La Vega and singer Lize Accoe announced they are separating. Lize says she's always dreamed of finding her own musical destination, and feels the time was right to take this step. However, she will perform with De La Vega until after the summer. In the meantime, Lize and Mathias Verraes are writing songs for her solo debut, which will be more soul and hiphop oriented. A live band is being put together, and a first concert is booked for August 2006.

De La Vega is known for their singles Surely and Aspects of You, and recently won the ZAMU-award for Best Debut with their album Falling Into Place.
