Fantoom is selected for Eurosong 2006 with Servaas & Hillert Bingé’s song ‘Hier Sta Ik’. The winner of this contest will be the Belgian candidate for the Eurovision Song Festival in Athens. Alias was selected from over 300 candidates. The other 28 nominees include Belle Perez, Peter Evrard, Pim, Brahim and Kate Ryan. They will compete against each other in four TV-shows, two semi-finals and a grand finale on February 19, 2006.

The band Fantoom consists of singer and songwriter Servaas Bingé, his brothers Hillert & Wouter on bass and keyboards, drummer Jonathan Callens, percussion player Filip Verheecken and keyboard player Jan Borré.

David Van den Hende and Mathias Verraes are currently writing additional new songs for Fantoom. ‘Rimpels Als Je Lacht’, which they wrote together with Levi Lenaerts (from Palomine), has already been recorded.
